CLEVELAND, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Parker Hannifin Corporation (NYSE: PH) today announced the promotion of Roger Sherrard, age 37, to the position of worldwide Instrumentation Group president, effective November 1, 2003. In this role, Sherrard succeeds Lee Banks, who recently became the company's Hydraulics Group president.

Sherrard most recently served as General Manager for Parker's Automation Actuator Division in Wadsworth, Ohio. He joined Parker in 1989 as a field Application Engineer with the Compumotor Division, and also held positions as Regional Sales Manager and Manufacturing Manager.
